Turn one PDF into many — instantly.
PDF Slicer lets you mark pages in a multi-page PDF and export them as separate files — perfect for splitting bundled invoices, scanned documents or combined reports into files your accounting software can actually book.
Nothing leaves your Mac. PDF Slicer works entirely offline — no upload, no cloud, no account required.
Privacy & Distribution
Built for everyday paperwork.
PDF Slicer was designed for anyone who receives combined PDFs — bundled invoices, scanned receipts, collected statements — and needs each page (or group of pages) as its own file.
Mac App Store
Distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store — reviewed by Apple, automatically updated, sandboxed for your safety.
Fully Offline
Your PDFs are processed locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to a server — not even for a preview.
Original File Untouched
PDF Slicer never modifies your source PDF. It only ever creates new files from the pages you select.
Why PDF Slicer?
One combined PDF isn't always what you need.
Suppliers, banks and scanners love bundling everything into a single PDF. But your accounting software, archive or colleague usually needs each document on its own — and doing that by hand in Preview is slow and error-prone.
See Every Page First
A real, scrollable preview of the actual page content — not just a small thumbnail — so you always know what you're exporting.
Safe by Design
Your original PDF is only ever read, never overwritten. Export as many times as you like without any risk to the source file.
Feels Instantly at Home
No lag, no loading spinners — PDF Slicer opens and responds like it's part of macOS itself.
Group pages exactly the way you need them.
Not every PDF splits neatly into single pages. PDF Slicer lets you combine any set of pages — page 1 on its own, pages 2 and 3 together, page 4 on its own again — into one export file each.
Example Export Plan
- Invoices_Q1.pdf 4 pages
- Invoice_p1.pdf page 1
- Invoice_p2-3.pdf pages 2–3
- Invoice_p4.pdf page 4
Example shown for illustration. You decide how pages are grouped.
See it big. See it clearly. Then decide.
Every page opens full-size and crystal clear before you export it — no squinting at a tiny thumbnail, no guessing what's actually on the page.
Familiar Page Sidebar
Browse every page in a familiar sidebar, with badges showing which export file each page belongs to.
One Destination Folder
Exports save next to your original PDF by default, or to any folder you choose — no repeated save dialogs per file.
About the Developer
We built it because we needed it.
PDF Slicer comes from ankermann.tv. Every month, our own accounting kept choking on collected invoice PDFs from suppliers — one file, several invoices, and no clean way to book them. So we built the tool we wished existed, and we still use it ourselves, every day.
Built for a Real Problem
Designed around the everyday need to un-staple combined invoices and documents.
Any PDF Size
From a two-page bundled invoice to a hundred-page scanned archive.
We Use It Ourselves
If it doesn't work perfectly on our own invoices, it doesn't ship.
What PDF Slicer does not do
Clear boundaries, on purpose.
PDF Slicer is not a full PDF editor. It is designed specifically for splitting an existing PDF's pages into new files.
No annotation or editing
PDF Slicer does not add text, signatures or markup. It only rearranges existing pages into new files.
No OCR or content changes
Page content is copied exactly as-is. PDF Slicer does not run text recognition or alter what's on a page.
No changes to the original
Your source PDF is only read, never overwritten or deleted, no matter how often you export from it.
